Studio Universal has released the first trailer of "Dr. Dolittle" in which a veterinarian who can talk to animals is embodied by Robert Downey Jr.
The movie is based on the character of Dr. Dolittle from the novel "The Voyages of Doctor Dolittle" by English writer Hugh Lofting. Director Stephan Gaghan revealed in March this year that he is working on this movie, which we will see in theaters in January 2020.
Judging by the trailer, the new adaptation of Dr. Dolittle's story will be vastly different from that of the 1990s, when we watched Eddie Murphy as a gifted doctor.
Robert Downey Jr. this is the first role since Marvel's Tony Stark, namely Iron Man. In addition to Downey, we will be starring Antoni Banderas, Michael Sheen, Harry Collett and Jim Broadbent. The voices are lent by Rami Malek, John Cena, Octavia Spencer, Kumail Nanjiani, Emma Thompson, Marion Cotillard, Frances de la Tour, Carmen Eyogo, Ralph Fiennes, Selena Gomez, Tom Holland and Craig Robinson.
